The main objective of the event was to present and highlight the opportunities brought to the development of social dialogue, in the wood and furniture sector, by the European Comission strategy for circular bioeconomy, focused on the use of raw materials and secondary products of biological origin, renewable and low environmental impact sources.

The objectives and activities carried out in the Good Wood project were presented, as well as the main data from the Portuguese wood and furniture sector.

The renowned international consultant PricewaterhouseCoopers, supported by the know-how acquired through the elaboration of several studies in the scope of the circular economy, specifically, in forest-based industries, addressed the development potential for companies by implementing circularirity strategies in the various steps of their process.
